We usually publish articles 500-2000 words in length, and artwork is provided (for the most part) by our writers.

Currently Hiring – Marketing Department

We are actively seeking a new full time employee for our marketing department.

Want to apply? You’ve got to have sales experience and social media skills. We would prefer to work with someone who knows about the local arts & culture scene, or at least independent arts in Canada, and genuinely support grassroots media. You will be responsible for meeting with the big wigs of downtown’s cultural institutions, networking with independent businesses, and creating promotional opportunities for our newspaper. You might take on an exciting partnership with Home County Music & Arts Festival, or work on generating a new revenue stream with online advertising. This position has a starting rate of $12/hour + 10% commission on sales, but the more money we make, the more money you will make. We’re a small band of misfits, and perhaps you are the one who can join our ranks? Let’s take it to the next level.
